MacAulay-Brown Promotes Jim Soos to Senior Vice President of Corporate Business Development and Communications

DAYTON, Ohio, Oct. 3, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company providing innovative engineering and technical solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that it has promoted Jim Soos to Senior Vice President of Corporate Business Development and Communications, reporting directly to MacB President and CEO, Sid Fuchs.

Soos was formerly Vice President of Business Development, and replaces Wayne Baumgarten who announced his retirement after 23 years at MacB. Baumgarten will stay on with the company through the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.

"On behalf of the entire MacB family, I want to thank Wayne for his tireless service to the company," said Fuchs. "His hard work, dedication and leadership played a major role in the growth and success of MacB. We wish him and his family the best in his retirement."

In his new role, Soos will lead an organization responsible for strategic business development and capture and proposal efforts, marketing campaigns, quality and standards implementation and external communications. Working closely with the MacB Operations and Administration teams, his focus will be on meeting the company's strategic business objectives and driving growth across MacB's markets.

Fuchs continued, "This is a well deserved promotion for Jim. Since joining MacB in 2007, he has helped lead the business development team, and played an instrumental role in the pursuit and capture of some of our largest clients. Adding Jim's considerable knowledge of DoD, the IC and Homeland Security agencies to the senior management team's already considerable bone fides will be helpful to the company as we execute on our strategic business plan."

For more than 30 years, Soos has worked in senior business development and marketing roles in the Defense and Federal contracting community. He has specialized in the pursuit and capture of major accounts, proposal development, cost estimating and bidding strategies. Prior to joining MacB in 2007, Soos lead business development and marketing for an $800 million operating unit of Lockheed Martin. Prior to Lockheed Martin, Mr. Soos spent 14 years at Sytex (acquired by Lockheed Martin), working his way up to Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.
