CARTERET, N.J., Oct. 4, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Prime Lube Inc., the parent company of Blue Sky East LLC, announced it has formed a strategic partnership with Gray Oil Company Inc. of Ft. Lupton, Colo., known as Rocky Mountain Blue Sky. Through its new location, Rocky Mountain Blue Sky will distribute diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) to a five-state area. Blue Sky and Gray Oil Company will cohost an event to celebrate Rocky Mountain Blue Sky's grand opening on October 18, 2012.
Held at the Rocky Mountain Blue Sky facility at 803 8th Street in Ft. Lupton, Colo., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the grand opening will be attended by local officials and Blue Sky and Gray Oil Company representatives. The celebration will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, plant tour, and display of fleet vehicles and equipment. The public is welcome to attend and lunch will be served to all attendees.

The Rocky Mountain Blue Sky facility will begin production of DEF in October 2012 at the new 10,000-square-foot plant in Ft. Lupton. The plant will produce approximately 3.5 million gallons of DEF per year to meet growing demand for its use in diesel-powered engines, including tractor trailers, pickup trucks, passenger cars, agricultural and construction equipment, marine vessels and trains. Rocky Mountain Blue Sky will deliver DEF to locations in a five-state area that comprises Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona. The strategic location will result in reduced greenhouse gas emissions and lower transportation costs by minimizing the delivery distance to local distributors.
