GfK User Centric to Celebrate World Usability Day With Free Usability Reviews of 10 iPad Apps

Nominations Open for Any Size Organization

CHICAGO, Oct. 8, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Does your iPad app have what it takes to be successful? GfK User Centric, a global user experience research and design firm, today announced it would conduct user experience (UX) reviews of 10 iPad applications in conjunction with the Eighth Annual World Usability Day on November 8, 2012.

For each selected iPad app, teams of GfK User Centric UX consultants will conduct high-level reviews and provide three research-driven recommendations on how the app might better connect with users. The reviews will take place on World Usability Day, November 8, 2012.

Any company or non-profit, regardless of size, may submit their iPad app for consideration at the User Centric Facebook page between October 8 to October 19, 2012. Complete rules can also be found at http://www.usercentric.com/WUD-UX-reviews.

"Creating an app that brings real value to users is often harder than developers, designers and, frankly, users think," said Gavin Lew, executive vice president at GfK User Centric. "Designing an app that engages requires a keen understanding of the audience, specifically where and how the device is used. GfK User Centric's consultants are experts at identifying the details that could make an iPad app stand apart from and be the next big thing."
