The Brantford animal hospital 24-hour vet team is celebrating 60 years of service. Since the hospital's founding in 1952, the veterinary care team has focused on providing pet care to the Brantford, ON community.

"Sixty years is a huge milestone, and we thank the Brantford community for trusting us as their preferred veterinary care provider over the years," said the veterinary care team. "Today, we are proud to honor the vision of our founding veterinarian through our continued commitment to compassionate care, responsive customer service, and veterinary services."

The late veterinarian Dr. R. A. Beattie founded Beattie Animal Hospital in 1952. Over the years, the vet hospital has expanded from its original 1,000 sq. feet facility to accommodate the changing needs of patients and clients. Most recently, renovations took place from 2009 to 2010, which modernized the vet hospital. Today, the Brantford animal hospital is comprised of four main service areas: the pet hospital; separate cat and dog boarding facilities; pet grooming; and the pet store.

The pet hospital features state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical technology, including digital radiography, dental radiography, and a special room for ultrasound procedures. The surgical suite is also equipped with laser equipment for minimally invasive surgical procedures.

"Our surgical suite reflects our animal hospital's strong commitment to providing our animal patients with the best possible care," said the Brantford veterinary care team. "We offer laser surgical procedures and ultrasound diagnostics. We also have a separate intensive care unit for pets requiring special attention, along with a ward for sick dogs and cats recovering from operations. These hospital services reflect the vision of our founder, which is to provide the best possible care to companion animals in need."

While the animal hospital primarily cares for dogs and cats, the 24-hour vet team can also provide basic wellness care for some birds and exotic animals. Hospital services include wellness puppy and kitten care, vaccinations, pet surgery, diagnostics, anesthesia, and pain management.

"We thank pet owners for trusting their pets in our care, and look forward to many more years of service to the Brantford community," said the veterinary team.
