SAINT PAUL, Minn., Oct. 23, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GovDelivery, the leading provider of digital communications solutions for government, announces today, several steps to expand the company's team and capabilities in response to record growth achieved to date in 2012.

Having closed its largest most comprehensive contracts to date in its three major markets, specifically Federal, State/Local, and International Government, GovDelivery is experiencing its best performing year in its history. As a result the company recently bolstered its leadership team, adding Chief Operating Officer Bob Ainsbury and General Manager, Federal Market, Lance Horne, who will be located in GovDelivery's Washington, DC office. Additionally, Bobbie Browning has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Enterprise Strategy, serving strategic enterprise government clients and guiding the company's strategy for providing exceptional results for these clients globally. "We are thrilled that our continued commitment to helping government leverage digital communications to communicate more effectively and efficiently is resulting in such successful outcomes for our customers," said Scott Burns, co-founder and CEO of GovDelivery. "Our strong growth and the enhancements to our team position GovDelivery to continue to provide innovative and impactful solutions to our clients, both in the U.S and internationally going forward."

Growing interest was evident at GovDelivery's annual event, "Digital Government: The Transformative Power of Communications," hosted in Washington D.C.  The conference drew hundreds of government communicators and technologists, who shared their vision to drive effective digital communications practices in their respective agencies. Attendees networked and learned about how to make small bets and innovate from best-selling author, Peter Sims; how to move towards Smart Government from Vice President of IDC Government Insights, Thom Rubel; and how transformative digital communications can be for the public sector from Scott Burns, CEO and co-Founder of GovDelivery.

The conference also included an interactive panel with three of the most innovative Federal agencies currently driving their organization's mission value and seeing measurable results from their digital communication efforts. Panelists included Jon Booth, Director, Website and New Media, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid; Aimee Dobrzeniecki, Deputy Directory, National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP); and, Steve Jost, Associate Director of Communications, U.S. Census Bureau

"The attendance of hundreds of Federal government employees shows just how important innovation and technology are to government organizations and GovDelivery's leadership role in serving the market," said Burns. "In working with hundreds of government entities around the world on a daily basis, we at GovDelivery understand how the public sector can leverage the transformative power of communications to serve citizens and stakeholders better."
