Spectrum Pension Consultants, Inc. Executive appointed to National Pension Society Board of Directors


Tacoma, WA, Oct. 31, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Spectrum Pension Consultants is pleased to announce that Yannis Koumantaros, Principal & Director, has been appointed to the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) Board of Directors for the 2012-2013 year.  Yannis is the Chief Marketing Office at Spectrum and has been a board member since 2003.

Responsible for the firm's Business Development, Yannis is a retirement plan expert.  He was a contributing author in SmartMoney Magazine's "10 Things Your 401(k) Provider Won't Tell You", and has been featured on FundAdvice.com's Seattle Based Radio Show as a Pension Consultant.  His volunteerism to ASPPA extends nationally and he is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.  Yannis has spoken on topics such as Investment Advice to Participants, Retirement Income Adequacy, Full Disclosure Fee Transparency, Social Media, and Recruiting the Next Generation workforce.

Yannis holds the Certified Pension Consultant (CPC), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designations.  He volunteers on the ASPPA Membership Committee and served as 2008-2011 Co-Chairman of the Next Generation Subcommittee.  He is Chairman of the ASPPA Political Action Committee, on the Board of Directors of the ASPPA Benefits Counsel of the Great Northwest, and holds memberships with the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA), Society of Professional Administrators and Record-Keepers (SPARK), and the National Association of Actuaries and Consultants, Inc. (NAACI).
