Trumark Homes Hires Real Estate Veteran as Senior Vice President of Operations

Former John Laing Homes Executive Brings Broad Experience in Residential and Commercial Real Estate Development From Land Acquisition to Sales

NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 13, 2012) -  Trumark Homes, a diversified real estate developer and builder, has hired David Prolo, a construction industry veteran with a solid record of construction management, quality construction homebuyer satisfaction and bottom-line performance, as senior vice president of operations. Prolo will be based in the Newport Beach office of Trumark Homes.

Prolo comes to Trumark from Jones Lang LaSalle Project and Development Services in Irvine, Calif., where he served as senior vice president. He brings expertise in a diversity of areas, from commercial construction, energy-efficient construction practices and urban infill development. He managed multiple large construction projects for a number of Future 100 companies throughout California.

"Dave comes to us with strong leadership skills and core operational talents in all aspects of residential and commercial real estate development," said Michael Maples, principal and CEO of Trumark Homes, which has broken ground on three residential projects in Silicon Valley in the past six months. "He consistently achieves high rates of return because he is a strict proponent of establishing aggressive goals and objectives, and he always keeps one eye on the balance sheet."

Prior to his tenure at Jones Lang LaSalle, Prolo was founder and is a board member of DK Chappell-Real Estate Solutions, Inc., an asset management and construction/real estate-consulting firm in San Clemente, California.

"Since Dave is also a licensed contractor and has worked in the field, he understands this industry from the ground up," said Maples.

Prolo worked for more than 15 years for John Laing Homes in Irvine and Salt Lake City, Utah, where he served in a number of capacities, including regional/division president/senior vice president.  In 2005 and 2006, Prolo's implementation of new business practices earned the company JD Power and Associates "Highest in Customer Satisfaction" Awards. In 2009, the division was named Green Homebuilder's 2009 Builder of the Year.

Prolo received his bachelor's degree in construction management from Brigham Young University, and he is active leader with the Boy Scouts of America in Orange County and a member of the Board of Directors of HomeAid Orange County.
