EWS TR900 Update

AJAX, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 13, 2012) - Environmental Waste International Inc. (EWS) (TSX VENTURE:EWS) announces an update on its recent TR900 activities. EWS expects an Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) permit soon, which will allow EWS to resume at will operation of the TR900 tire recycling system in Sault Ste. Marie. The new ECA is expected to include the addition of a post combustion treatment for the power generation component of the system. EWS successfully operated the TR900 facility from June 2011 through June 2012 under a prior approval.

During the past few months, EWS has entertained growing interest in the TR application with several groups, in North America and abroad. The TR900 system breaks down used tires into carbon, steel and vapor. The vapor is cooled to allow oil to condense and the remaining gas is scrubbed, blended with natural gas and fed into a generator to produce power.

As part of their due diligence, potential buyers asked to see the TR900 pilot plant in operation. EWS received approval from the Ministry of Environment (MOE) to operate the TR900 on several select dates in advance of the new ECA permit. The TR900 was operated on various dates during September and October 2012. The system operated very well, meeting the processing parameters it was designed for. Visiting parties were extremely impressed with its operation.

EWS continues discussions with various groups as to their interest in acquiring an EWS tire facility. In order to demonstrate the plant to more interested parties the MOE has granted additional dates for operation in November and December 2012, prior to the expected receipt of the new ECA.

EWS has designed systems for the breakdown and recovery of usable byproducts from several organic materials, including rubber tires, and for the sterilization of medical, animal, liquid and food waste. EWS continues to explore other applications for its technology. Please visit the EWS website at: www.ewmc.com.
