Arby's Escalates Sandwich Wars by Releasing New Investigative Footage

Former NYC Police Detective Bo Dietl Unveils Latest Results in "Slicing Up the Truth About Freshness" Investigation

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - Nov 15, 2012) - Arby's is standing up to sandwich shop conglomerates in the Sandwich Wars by unabashedly releasing new, exclusive video footage that follows former New York City Police detective Bo Dietl as he slices up the truth about freshness. Arby's put Dietl on the case to blow the top off the fact that the "big guys," like Subway, choose not to slice their sandwich meats fresh in store. As an extension of Arby's new "Slicing Up the Truth About Freshness" campaign, this new in-depth look at Dietl's investigation highlights Arby's commitment to providing the best quality food and service to their customers.

Arby's has a rich heritage of freshly slicing meats in each restaurant daily for nearly 50 years. On the other hand, in this latest footage, Dietl discovers where Subway really slices their meats -- in factories. Many consumers erroneously believe that Subway slices their meats "in the back." In reality, their meats are pre-sliced in factories, often times far from the restaurant, and shipped to each store.

"Throughout my career I've had one mission -- to uncover the truth," said Dietl. "I'm proud to partner with Arby's to expose the truth about freshly sliced meats and I'm excited to share the latest results from my investigation. Take a look for yourself, but to me it seems like Arby's is emerging victorious in the Sandwich Wars."
