MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge Presents "Brewing up Bucks: The Business of Microbreweries"

CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwire - Nov 28, 2012) - On December 10, 2012, the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge will present an Innovation Series event: "Brewing up Bucks: The Business of Microbreweries." We've all heard of the big name brews, especially the New England homegrown name of Sam Adams. Beer is also being brewed by an escalating number of microbreweries with avid followers and an estimated 1,200 new breweries opening this year alone. The craft beer industry is on pace to expand by a third and Boston is one of the hot beds of this micro/nano-brew explosion. This Innovation Series event (timed perfectly with the holiday party season) will share how brew-preneurs are adapting old business models to serve the new and rapidly evolving market. The panel of microbrewers will compare notes on brewing, distributing, and differentiating their beers and business models in a very competitive market.

There's an extra bonus of sampling microbrews while networking at the R&D Pub.

The panel features:

The moderator will be Lauren Clark, the former drinkboston.com blogger, who has also been a home brewer, an intern at Commonwealth Brewing Company, an assistant brewer at Cambridge Brewing Company and a columnist for the beer newspaper Ale Street News.

The event is sponsored by Wolf Greenfield.
