Corporate Team Raises More Than $23,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital(R)


NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C., Nov. 29, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Window World, Inc.®, America's largest replacement window and home remodeling company, participated in the St. Jude Give thanks. Walk. on Saturday, Nov. 17 and were the top fundraiser for the entire Charlotte, N.C. Walk, which included more than 20 teams and 500 participants. Window World Corporate, located in North Wilkesboro, N.C., raised more than $23,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®. Leading the team was Chairman and CEO Tammy Whitworth, whose nearly $8,000 in donations made her the top individual fundraiser in the entire Charlotte market and one of the top ten participants nationwide.

Overall, Window World Corporate's fundraising efforts made them the team with the third most donations in the country. All donations from the event will be used to research and treat childhood cancer at St. Jude.

Nationwide, 21 Window World teams participated in the Walk raising a total of nearly $52,000 for St. Jude.
