OxySure Save at Midwestern University

FRISCO, Texas, Dec. 5, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- OxySure® Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:OXYS) ("OxySure," or the "Company"), the medical device innovator of life-saving easy-to-use emergency oxygen solutions with its "oxygen from powder" technology today announced that the Company's Model 615 portable emergency oxygen unit was used to assist in a save at the Glendale, Arizona campus of Midwestern University on Friday, November 30, 2012.

According to university staff, a student was working with chemicals in a confined area of a laboratory at the College of Dental Medicine and passed out after being overwhelmed with outgassing and fumes. Ms. Danica Hoopes, a Dispensary Assistant at the Sim Clinic immediately came to the student's rescue with the OxySure unit, and with the assistance of Dr. Jay Morrow the student was revived and regained consciousness. The staff called 911 but upon arrival of the first responders it was determined that transportation to a hospital was not needed.

Julian Ross, CEO of OxySure stated: "Once again, a good outcome was achieved by OxySure bridging the gap between a medical distress situation and the time first responders arrived on the scene. We applaud the quick-thinking of Ms. Hoopes and Dr. Morrow and many others like them who do not hesitate to help when it is needed, and we are pleased that the College of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University is an OxySure Beacon of SafetyTM."
