New Roosters Men's Grooming Center Donates to LIVESTRONG

Local Shop Owner Rallies Around Movember Charity's Mission at Grand Opening

CEDAR PARK, TX--(Marketwire - Dec 10, 2012) - The November 27 grand opening of the new Roosters Men's Grooming Center (MGC) in Cedar Park celebrated milestones and mustaches. The event, held at the shop's 1400 East Whitestone Boulevard location, marked store owner Mike McHenry's first-ever ribbon cutting, and Tony Moline's first as Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce President.

"I'm thrilled that my first shop will serve the rapidly developing Cedar Park community and look forward to opening more Roosters in surrounding towns," said McHenry.

Roosters MGC is a fast growing national franchise that blends traditional barbershop services with modern hair and skin care for men of all ages.

"The Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome another small business which helps our City continue to grow. We look forward to seeing Mike and the rest of the Roosters' family active within the community," said Moline. "Since this was my first ribbon cutting in Cedar Park, this will always be a special one for me."

During the grand opening, McHenry presented a $500 donation to the LIVESTRONG Foundation in recognition of Movember, a month-long mustache growing campaign held worldwide every November to benefit men's cancer initiatives.

"It's great to have the support of a new local business like Roosters and impressive that they want to have an immediate impact in our community," said Chris Brewer, the Foundation's strategic partnerships manager who accepted the donation. "This not only helps further prostate cancer research and men's health awareness but also allows the LIVESTRONG Foundation to provide much needed cancer survivorship services in the local area and across the country."

Roosters' father and son co-founders, Joe and Aaron Grondin, also attended the grand opening along with president Greg Longe.

"We couldn't be happier with the tremendous support we've received from our guests and the community," said McHenry. "Our mission is simply to offer the highest quality men's grooming services possible, in the nicest environment imaginable."

Roosters' hair and skin care services include precision haircuts, deep cleansing shaves with aromatic hot steam towels, purifying facials, color treatments, "camouflage" for maximum gray hair coverage, and eyebrow and ear waxing.

For the holidays, a gift card purchase of $25 offers guests $30 in services or products. McHenry added, "These make great stocking stuffers along with our full line of Aveda hair and skin care products for men."

Roosters MGC is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. To schedule appointments or purchase gift cards, call 512-528-0520, or visit www.roostersmgc.com. Walk-ins are always welcome.
