Molly Maid Hands Over Keys to a Franchise on A&E's New Reality Show "Be the Boss" and Gives Away a Year of House Cleaning

Episode Airs Sunday, December 23 at 11 p.m. ET/PT and 10 p.m. CT

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Dec. 13, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Molly Maid, the nation's leading home cleaning company, will be featured in the premiere season of A&E's new original real life series "Be the Boss," a competition-based show that pits two employees of a franchise-based company against each other in the battle of a lifetime – contending for the chance to become the owner of their very own franchise. Molly Maid's "Be the Boss" episode airs Sunday, Dec. 23 at 11 p.m. ET/PT and 10 p.m. CT.

From the Emmy-award winning creators of "Undercover Boss," "Be the Boss" is a competition between two mid-level employees for the chance to obtain what they think is a big promotion. In Molly Maid's episode, President Meg Roberts summons two deserving candidates to corporate headquarters and subsequently puts them through a series of challenges to test their mettle at being in a senior management role.

Showcased in Molly Maid's episode are Mariana Lima, a marketing manager from Molly Maid of Greater Austin (Texas), and KC Brann, an office manager from Molly Maid of Henry County (Georgia). The women were put to the test daily as they participated in challenges designed to measure their strengths, including a full day of extreme house cleaning, hosting a "Mom's Night Out" event and improving satisfaction levels while facing a live panel of customers.

Both employees aim to prove they should earn the promotion, but they're in for the shock of their lives when they discover that an even greater opportunity is ultimately at stake – the keys to their very own Molly Maid franchise. Other iconic American companies featured in the first season include Complete Nutrition, Auntie Anne's, Signal 88 Security, Jazzercise and The Melting Pot.

"It was such a wonderful experience putting this show together with the Studio Lambert production team," Roberts said. "I am so proud of the way KC, Mariana and the home office team helped represent Molly Maid. Not only is Molly Maid a phenomenal business ownership opportunity but it's an organization of people who take great pride in their work and who are proud to serve and care for others. It is our hope that this incredible national exposure will not only shine brightly on Molly Maid but will also help to raise awareness and support for victims of domestic violence by featuring the Ms. Molly Foundation. Our foundation, dedicated to this important cause, has raised more than $1.425 million for shelters across the country since 1996 and we're eager to help even more."

To celebrate the brand's appearance on "Be the Boss," Molly Maid will give away a year of free house cleaning to one lucky winner who enters on their Facebook page or at www.mollymaid.com/betheboss from now through Dec. 31, 2012. Ten additional $100 Visa gift cards will also be awarded.
