Huntington, W.Va. Upgrades Technology With New World Systems

TROY, Mich., Jan. 2, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The City of Huntington, W.Va. has selected New World Systems'  integrated suite of Logos.NET™ Public Administration solutions on the Microsoft.NET platform to streamline business processes and increase productivity. The new software will replace an old financial system and New World's Logos iSeries 400 Payroll software that the City has used for more than a decade.

"Reductions in workforce and decreases in revenue forced us to find a way to maximize our resources to do more with less," said Brandi Jacobs-Jones, Director of Administration and Finance. "New World's technology will allow us to accomplish that. Our selection committee was impressed by the company's stability and the really positive experience we've had with New World's customer support in the past. We felt New World was the only partner we could rely on to meet our needs now and in the future."

New World is providing the City with Logos.NET Financial Management, Payroll and Human Resources, and Community Development software. The integrated solutions will ensure information flows freely between departments, improving reporting and financial transparency. Advanced workflow and integration with everyday Microsoft applications will also help the City reduce data entry and eliminate manual work.

"Logos.NET will help us increase efficiency," said Deron Runyon, Finance Director. "Because it is true .NET technology, it is easy to use and less costly to maintain. It will automate our manual processes and help us better serve our citizens. We are also looking forward to continuing our relationship with New World, and joining the growing community of local governments using Logos.NET."

Trusted by more than 1,000 public sector organizations nationwide, New World Systems designs, develops, markets, supports and implements the integrated Logos™ Public Administration Suite for local governments and the Aegis™ Suite of Public Safety Solutions for Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS.
