CORFAC International Closes Out 2012 With Major Transactions in Six North American Markets


FALLS CHURCH, Va., Jan. 9, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CORFAC International closed out 2012 with a number of significant commercial real estate transactions in six of the 65 North American markets served by the real estate organization of affiliated companies, announced 2013 CORFAC International President Bill Hawkins. Portland, OR -- Capacity Commercial Group/CORFAC International announced the completion of a 30,882-square-foot office lease on behalf of Ruby Receptionists at Murray Scholls Town Center in Beaverton, OR.

Mike Nye, SIOR and a Principal of Capacity Commercial Group/CORFAC International represented Ruby Receptionists. Terms of the lease could not be disclosed. The new location is second location and expansion for Ruby Receptionists, which is based in nearby Portland.

Ruby Receptionists is a virtual receptionist company that offers cheerful, live receptionist services to a variety of businesses including law firms, technology professionals, marketing agencies and creative firms, financial professionals and others.

Denver, CO – Bitzer Real Estate Partners/CORFAC International announced that on December 26th Ron Webert and Brady Welsh represented the seller of 2780 Tower Road in Aurora, CO to Steven Roberts Originals for $11 million. Located along I-70, 2780 Tower Road is a former regional distribution center for Albertsons that totals over 386,000 square feet of cooler, freezer and dry warehouse space on 44 acres.

The sale is one of the largest industrial building sales to an owner/occupier in the Denver market last year, according to CoStar research.

Milwaukee, WI –The Dickman Company/CORFAC International has sold a 62,494-square-foot office building in Milwaukee on behalf of the seller and buyer for $5.8 million, announced firm Principals Samuel D. Dickman and Samuel M. Dickman, Jr. They were the only brokers involved with the sale.

Located at 544 South 1st Street in Milwaukee, the single-story building was constructed in 1952 as an industrial property and converted to an office building in 2007. The seller was 544 S. 1st Street, LLC and IndependenceFirst, Inc., one of the two existing tenants in the building, acquired the property.

Chicago, IL. Steven H. Tick, SIOR, Principal at Podolsky Northstar CORFAC International, has represented Menard, Inc. in the purchase of 17.48 acres of land in Melrose Park, IL.

The 17.48 acres, situated along W. North Avenue between Hawthorne and Cornell Avenues, was previously owned by three separate entities. Menard will demolish the current mix of industrial and office buildings on the sites and use the land to build a 263,701-square-foot retail store and a 47,652 square-foot warehouse.

This is the third transaction Tick has completed for Menard over the past 12 years. He previously represented the company in the purchase of 26 acres in Chicago.

Little Rock, AR –Rector Phillips Morse Inc./CORFAC International announced that Associate Tom Cole of Rector Phillips Morse/CORFAC International (RPM) has represented a regional investor in the acquisition of a Little Rock industrial facility on 8.5 acres for $1.855 million.

Constructed with concrete tilt-up walls, the +100,000-square-foot building features a 19-foot clear height ceiling with 20 dock doors, an inactive rail spur and parking area for trucks and trailers. The buyer, a consumer electronics manufacturer, plans to add larger fire sprinkler capability in the building's interior.
