FTS International Safety Program Recognized in Oil & Gas Awards


FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 16, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FTS International (FTSI) has been named a finalist in both the 2012 Northeast Oil & Gas Awards and the 2012 Rocky Mountains Oil & Gas Awards (http://www.oilandgasawards.com/). The awards celebrate the achievements of oil and gas industry upstream and midstream companies, service providers and suppliers in relation to health and safety, environmental stewardship and corporate social responsibility. FTSI's entry featured information about the company's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) program.

Winners of the awards will be announced at the inaugural Northeast Oil & Gas Awards gala on March 14, 2013, at the Westin Convention Center in Pittsburgh and at the Rocky Mountains Oil & Gas Awards event on March 12, 2013, in Denver. Senior executives from the oil and gas industry reviewed almost 300 entries from approximately 200 different companies before casting their votes for the finalists, according to awards program representatives.

FTSI Chief Executive Officer Greg Lanham said, "Continually improving safety is a team effort for us at FTSI. Over the past year, our Services Division decreased its OSHA total recordable injury rate by 38.3 percent, making FTSI's incident rate 58.8 percent lower than our national industry peer group, as provided by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics."
