Roosters Men's Grooming Center Brings Back Classic American Barbershop With Modern Twist

CORNELIUS, NC--(Marketwire - Mar 6, 2013) - Visits to the old fashioned neighborhood barbershop bring back fond memories for men of all ages. Like scenes from old movies and television shows, you can easily visualize the barber pole, shaving brush, hot towels and loyal customers, chattering about local news or politics.

Then fast forward to the 21st century to visit the newly opened Roosters Men's Grooming Center (MGC) in Cornelius, a classic American barbershop with a modern twist and where precision haircuts and shaves for men are back in vogue.

Ready for a relaxing experience, Roosters customers are invited to sit in plush oversized leather chairs, situated in semi-private barber stations of dark cherry wood.

According to the store's owner Uli Seuster, next to precision haircuts, the Signature 7-step shave is a customer favorite. It includes hot steam towels, a deep cleansing facial massage, Aveda moisturizing lotions and a great close shave.

The Roosters' team in Cornelius includes store manager Jaymie Weidenfeld and stylists Katie Culhane, Andrea Oliver and Shavon Robinson. Together, they have more than 50 years of hair care experience.

"We want to thank Cornelius Mayor Lynette Rinker as well as Jack Stevens and Chamber ambassadors from the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce for giving us such a warm welcome at our grand opening celebration in February," said Seuster.

Roosters MGC, located at 19400 Jetton Road in Peninsula Village, is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Appointments are available by calling 704-896-5999, and walk-ins are welcome.

"Our focus is on the customer experience," added Seuster, who also owns Rooster MGC located in the Ballantyne Quad Shopping Center. "We are a destination like the old fashioned barbershop -- combined with modern grooming services."

Roosters MGC in Cornelius is one of nearly 60 franchises nationwide. The first Roosters was opened in Lapeer, Mich., in 1999 by Master Barber and Founder Joe Grondin, who strives to give customers the best in men's personal grooming services. Roosters MGC is part of the worldwide family of Regis companies. For more information, visit www.RoostersMGC.com.
