Global Kids Fundraiser to Support D.C. Students' International Learning Opportunities

Overseas Travel Opens Eyes and Minds for Underserved Students

WASHINGTON, March 19, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- This summer another group of D.C. students will once again have the opportunity to participate in a unique international study and travel experience called Global Gateways. It's part of Global Kids (www.globalkids.org), a non-profit that aims to help underserved youth better understand their world and how to grow their leadership skills so they can be influential voices at home and abroad.

On March 20 the D.C. advisory council for Global Kids will host a fundraiser to support these efforts. The event will take place at the German Marshall Fund of the United States and will include short remarks and video highlights of last year's trip to Haiti.
