Elemica's Gary Neights to Address Petroleum Industry Data Exchange on Supply Chain Integration

PIDX e-Business Standards Deliver Huge Value in the Energy Supply Chain

EXTON, PA--(Marketwire - Mar 26, 2013) - Elemica, the leading provider of supply chain integration and optimization solutions, announces that Gary Neights, director of product management, will be speaking at the Petroleum Industry Data Exchange (PIDX) U.S. Spring Conference in Houston, TX on April 4th. The conference will feature industry experts presenting how oil and gas operators and suppliers are gaining huge value within their supply chains from the adoption of PIDX e-Business Standards.

"Optimizing the supply chain for oil and gas companies requires collaboration and system integration across companies and industries. B2B standards like PIDX remove complexity and cost from the equation," said Gary Neights, Director of Product Management at Elemica. "Attendees at the PIDX Spring Conference will gain knowledge about these standards and how they facilitate the flow of information, making it easier and quicker to reach quality decisions that affect their bottom line."

Gary Neights' presentation titled, "PIDX Standards: History, Value, and Cross Industry Supply Chain Automation," will cover a brief history of business data standards, such as x12, IDOCs, and Edifact. Forward-thinking ideas on reducing the cost of interoperating with various data standards will be discussed, along with how to reduce errors, create higher quality business intelligence, and generate significant savings. A PIDX implementation, leveraging work with additional outside groups, will also be presented.
