Harms brings more than 20 years of executive financial and operational management experience in fortifying technology companies by building teams, raising capital and executing M&A transactions.
Most recently, Harms served as CFO of Socialware, a leading social business solution provider. Previously, Harms was CFO of PSS Systems, acquired by IBM in 2011, of Transitive Corporation, acquired by IBM in 2008, and of Counterpane, an information security services firm acquired by British Telecom in 2006. Prior to that, he served as the director of finance and controller for several prosperous venture-funded technology companies, including Sentient Networks, a networking manufacturer acquired by Cisco Systems and Apptitude (acquired by Hi/fn). He also served in corporate and divisional financial positions at HP. Harms earned his CPA while at Ernst & Young in San Francisco, and holds an MBA from Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a B.S. from UC Berkeley.
