Lindamood-Bell Launches Free Webinar Series


SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif., March 27, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes will host a webinar series featuring a selection of presenters from the 2013 Lindamood-Bell International Conference Imagine Learning: The Imagery-Language Connection for Reading, Comprehension and Memory. The public is invited to attend these free presentations via WebEx™. Attendees can view this webinar online or view it at one of Lindamood-Bell's Learning Centers. The first webinar in the series will take place Friday, April 12, 2013, 9:00 a.m. PDT, 12:00 p.m. EDT, and will feature the keynote address from Lindamood-Bell Director and Co-founder, Nanci Bell, entitled Imagery: A Sensory-Cognitive Foundation for the Component Parts of Reading. It discusses the integral role imagery plays in reading and comprehension. Imagery is a sensory-cognitive function underlying the component parts of reading; word attack, word recognition, contextual reading, and reading comprehension.
