GRANDI LANGHE DOCG 2013 - The Premiere Event in Italy

Wine Industry Event Debuts May 5-7, 2013; taste the wines in their territory

NEW YORK, April 26, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Grandi Langhe DOCG makes its debut May 5-7, 2013 for its biennial exhibition organized by the Consortium for the protection of Barolo, Barbaresco, Alba, Langhe and Roero and open exclusively to international wine industry professionals.

This event is a wonderful occasion for wine professionals to taste the great DOCG wines of the Langhe - - Barolo, Barbaresco, Diano d'Alba, Dogliani, Roero, Roero Arneis - directly in the various municipalities of origin, while meeting the producers and building new business opportunities and trade agreements. A real journey with itinerant tastings throughout the Langa territory, this series of walk-around tasting events will be held in castles and evocative stately homes. You will discover the landscape of the Langhe, a unique territory where a visceral connection between man and the vine has always existed.

The hills of Langhe and Roero, located in southern Piedmont are, in fact, one of the most prominent wine-growing areas due to a particular geographical location where the climate and richness of the soil allows for such exceptional quality and variety of production. This territory, unconventional and emergent tourist destination, stands out for its culinary, landscape and cultural delights and warmly welcomes visitors looking for genuine experiences.

Grandi Langhe DOCG, a unique event of its kind and the first organized in Piedmont, is therefore an exceptional opportunity to discover the richness of this land, a glass full of history, traditions and landscape and to get to know the people who, with their passion, create incredibly special wines on a daily basis.

The collaboration between the Langhe Monferrato Roero Tourist Consortium and the Langhe Roero Travel Agency will enable the visitors to better organize their stay during the event and to avail themselves of the best accommodation.

The program includes free walk-around tastings dedicated to the specific denominations presented. Interested attendees can register directly online by accessing the Enrollment form. Members of the Press can access on invitation or by being accredited at the welcome desk onsite at the event.
