LIVONIA, MI--(Marketwired - May 14, 2013) - WorkForce Software, the leading provider of workforce management solutions for organizations with complex labor policies and stringent compliance demands, today announced details of the strong momentum gained in the first quarter of 2013. With improved results over the same period last year, growing interest in its workforce management solutions among multinational organizations and new large-scale clients representing a range of diverse industries, WorkForce Software is well positioned to continue its robust growth throughout 2013.
Beginning the year with strong sales performance, WorkForce Software reported revenue growth of 42 percent compared to its 2012 first quarter results, as well as a 139 percent increase in bookings over the same period last year. In addition, as more companies recognize the value of WorkForce Software's industry leading, comprehensive Software-as-a-Service delivery model, the company also experienced a 122 percent increase in SaaS revenue.
Key to its significant sales performance was the addition of numerous large-scale clients from the healthcare, manufacturing, high technology, financial services and oil and gas drilling industries, including:
- Two of the largest property and casualty insurers in the U.S.
- One of the world's largest oilfield services companies, with operations in 90 countries
- A top multi-specialty physician group practice in Hawaii
- A global leader in robotic-assisted, minimally invasive surgery
- A national supplier of dental products and support services in the U.S.
- A multinational communications firm, based in India and with operations in 25 countries
The company's robust performance is due to growing interest in its EmpCenter® workforce management suite to streamline key compliance functions across the enterprise. WorkForce Software has seen a marked uptick in demand for its unique solutions to address wage, hour and leave regulations across the globe. Under increased pressure to remain compliant with a range of national and local labor regulations, the majority of new clients added the EmpCenter Compliance Portal, a browser-based source of truth for HR-related legal questions and issues, to their workforce management suite. Likewise, nearly half selected Absence Compliance Tracker (ACT), the company's comprehensive solution for managing absence and leave compliance.
Growing recognition of the need for global workforce management automation has also driven increased demand for WorkForce Software's EmpCenter suite. The solution's unique ability to automate labor policies and regulations in all geographies without the use of custom code was a critical requirement for several organizations that selected WorkForce Software in the first quarter. In addition, approximately three-quarters of all new clients will take advantage of WorkForce Software's leading SaaS delivery model.
"With mounting pressure to cut costs, increase operational efficiency and meet compliance with a growing number of regulations, more organizations realize the benefit of automating workforce management functions on a global scale," said Kevin Choksi, WorkForce Software's co-founder and CEO. "Our strong first quarter performance highlights our unique ability to provide companies of any size, breadth and operational complexity with a single cloud-based platform that can easily adapt to their changing needs."
