New Tool to Manage Stress Available for Canadians Free and Online

Canadian Mental Health Association - Calgary and ICOM Productions team up to deliver a fast, interactive tool

CALGARY, Alberta, June 6, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) - Calgary Region and ICOM Productions, an e-learning agency focused on workplace training, have launched a stress management in the workplace module, free of charge online for anyone to use.

This brief module, called Workplace Stress, designed for anyone and everyone in the workplace, aims to help employees better recognize their own stress and potentially in others and provide tangible strategies to effectively address stress in the workplace.

"We're very excited about the module, which really takes what we already know about stress, stressors and the effects on our daily lives and puts the information into an interactive and engaging tool for really anyone to use," says Morgan Craig-Broadwith, Manager, Workplace Mental Health with CMHA - Calgary.

It's very straightforward: the user goes to cmha.calgary.ab.ca, clicks on the module and completes it. The module takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

CMHA – Calgary is also asking users to complete pre- and post- poll questions to help the agency gain understanding of the effects of the module.

All of it is confidential, provided as part of the agency's mandate to provide education to the Calgary public, and in this case, anywhere in the world, about mental health.
