On Wednesday, June 19th, this trendy Boston hotel kicks off a "Summer of Discovery" and encourages guests to get out and discover something new all season long with an exclusive RLife LIVE event featuring the hotel's first pop-up Oyster Bar at the Capiz Lounge one of the Boston Waterfront restaurants. The event will take place simultaneously with 155 Renaissance Hotels around the world, celebrating the lifestyle hotel brand's second annual "Global Day of Discovery."
Celebrate summer on the seaport with the Local Bubbly Bi-valve Bar "Seafood Omakase," a Japanese tradition that means "I leave it up to you," where Executive Chef Garcia will handpick a variety of freshly-shucked Massachusetts oysters, clams and more, plus local beverages including Westport Rivers sparkling wine. From Duxbury Powder Point Oysters to Cape Cod Blood Clam Shooters, all shells will be safely recycled via the Massachusetts Oyster Project -- http://www.massoyster.org/. While Chef Garcia demonstrates best tips for shucking oysters, seafood lovers can experience the launch of the Ty-Ku "Soul of Sake" summer cocktail as they enjoy a performance by local artist, Ben Kilcollins.
Each Renaissance Hotel will participate in the "Global Day of Discovery," inspiring more than 30,000 hotel guests to leave their hotel rooms and discover unforgettable moments through unexpected experiences created at the hotels including exclusive RLife LIVE events on site or unique offsite discoveries created by hotel NAVIGATORS.
