Dr. Winkler received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York, at Geneseo, in 2005 and his doctorate of optometry from Nova Southeastern University in Florida in 2011. He received advance training at the Nova Southeastern University Eye Institute and WJB Dorn VA Medical Center. While working at the VA Medical Center, Dr. Winkler focused heavily on the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, diabetes, and macular degeneration. He is licensed in New York State and is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New York State Optometric Association.
