AgriMinco Corp. Appoints New Director


TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - July 18, 2013) - AgriMinco Corp. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:ANO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexander du Plessis as a director of the Company, effective July 17, 2013.

The Company also announces the resignation of Ian Stalker from the board of directors (the "Board"), effective July 17, 2013. Mr. Stalker resigned from the Board due to other unexpected business obligations. The Company thanks Mr. Stalker for his service to the Company.

Alexander du Plessis has more than 30 years of mining industry experience, including experience in mine design and operations, as well as the management of mine construction projects. In addition, he has worked in applied research and development for mining. Since 1990, Alexander has consulted to a wide range of mining industry clients around the world on technical and strategic matters, and has direct experience in mining projects in Canada, the United States, Asia, Australia, Eastern Europe, and south and central Africa. He is a Visiting Adjunct Professor in the Centre for Mechanised Mining Systems at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and is a registered Professional Engineer.

Alexander du Plessis is a nominee of Premier African Minerals Limited ("PREM"), a significant shareholder and "control person" of the Company (holding approximately 42% of the issued shares of the Company), entitled to nominate two directors to the Board whilst PREM's shareholdings remain above 30% of the issued share capital of the Company. PREM's other nominee on the Board is David de Jongh Weill, who was elected at the Company's annual and special meeting of shareholders on June 30, 2013 (the "Meeting").

The Company also wishes to announce and confirm, pursuant to the authorization of its shareholders obtained at the Meeting, that the Board has abandoned all resolutions authorizing the voluntary delisting, wind-up and dissolution of the Company.

The Company intends to proceed with the planned exploration of its Southern Togo Project and expects to continue discussions with the State and other parties that may lead to negotiations to share existing facilities, which, if successful, could result in near-term production.
