Pulse Systems, Inc.'s Complete EHR Achieves 2014 ONC HIT Certification

WICHITA, Kan., Aug. 14, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pulse Systems, Inc., one of the industry-leading providers of Electronic Health Records (EHR), Practice Management and Revenue Cycle Management solutions, announced today that its Pulse Complete EHR, version 4.2, is compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition criteria and was certified as a Complete EHR on August 7, 2013, by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ACB, in accordance with the eligible provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The ONC 2014 Edition criteria support both Stage 1 and Stage 2 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

The Pulse Complete EHR is one of the most robust and adaptable electronic health record systems available to healthcare providers today. It offers unmatched workflow and documentation flexibility for physician practices, enabling each to customize the Pulse Complete EHR to meet their personal workflow needs to improve and maximize productivity and efficiency. The Pulse Complete EHR offers additional customization with specialty-specific features and templates, all of which can be integrated seamlessly and easily into a physician's practice. Pulse also offers advanced clinical data conversion services to assist providers with converting both clinical and non-clinical data from other healthcare IT vendors.

"We believe this certification is an important achievement for Pulse Systems and our current and future client base, as it further supports Pulse's commitment to help physician practices continue to attest for Meaningful Use," said Jeff Burton, Pulse Systems' Chief Executive Officer. Burton further added that "achieving the ONC 2014 Edition certification further evidences the Company's continuing commitment to deliver 'best practices' solutions for physicians to successfully meet the upcoming demands of ICD-10 and many other needs facing healthcare providers enabling them to deliver quality healthcare in an efficient and profitable manner."

The ONC HIT Certification Program certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2014 Edition criteria and EHR modules meet one or more – but not all – of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.

"CCHIT congratulates companies successfully achieving EHR technology certification," said Alisa Ray, executive director, CCHIT. "These companies are now able to make their products available to providers wishing to adopt health IT to demonstrate meaningful use and earn Stage 1 or Stage 2 incentives."

The certification number for the Pulse Complete EHR, version 4.2 is CC-2014-946110-1. ONC HIT certification conferred by CCHIT does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
