The winning ticket was sold at a retailer located at 5880 W. Camelback Road in Glendale. The winning numbers were 30 - 40 - 42 - 46 - 48 PB 23. The winning ticket matched five out of five numbers drawn, not including the Powerball. Players can check their tickets by visiting ArizonaLottery.com.

"We are thrilled that another Arizona player has won a $1 million Powerball second prize," said Karen Bach, director of budget, products, and communications for the Arizona Lottery. "We are excited that the number of new millionaires statewide is continuing to grow, and we look forward to meeting and presenting the check to the winner."

Powerball offers many appealing features to players, including jackpots that grow bigger, faster. The starting jackpot is $40 million, and the second prize for matching all five numbers, without the Powerball, is $1 million.

Arizona had more than 13,000 Powerball winners in Wednesday's drawing.

The increase in Powerball sales and wins in Arizona also means more money being returned to important state programs. Arizona Lottery dollars are allocated to fund a wide variety of public projects and programs throughout Arizona that fall under four main pillars: education, health & public welfare, economic & business development and the environment.

The next Powerball draw is Saturday, Aug. 24, for an estimated $92 million jackpot. Tickets can be purchased at any Arizona Lottery retailer.

Players must be 21 years or older to purchase or redeem tickets. Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize at an Arizona Lottery office or by mail. Overall odds vary by game. All sales are final. In accordance with the ADA, these materials may be made available in an alternative format. Gambling Problem? Call 1.800.NEXT STEP (1-800-639-8783). Please Play Responsibly™.
