Kivuto Solutions Launches Next-generation Distribution Infrastructure

OTTAWA, Sept. 4, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kivuto Solutions Inc., the global leader in complex digital distribution, has once again established a new benchmark for performance and reliability with the launch of its next-generation digital distribution infrastructure.

Engineered to deliver the highest availability, reliability and performance possible with existing technologies, the newly-enhanced infrastructure provides the most robust foundation upon which software publishers, resellers, public and private institutions can build flexible, secure, and scalable business-to-business (B2B), or business-to-business-to-consumer (B2B2C) distribution channels for digital goods.

"We have always made use of the best technologies to deliver the highest availability and performance solutions to our customers and this has continued with the latest improvements to our industry-leading database infrastructure," said Brad Brohman, Vice-President of Sales at Kivuto Solutions. "This effort is the first part of a three-phase program to implement a high-performance, multi-site architecture. It ensures that our turnkey services continue to deliver the most robust and reliable solutions to complex digital distribution challenges and enable the secure delivery of digital goods to multiple markets under multiple distribution and business models."

As part of the first phase efforts, Kivuto has upgraded all systems to improve database mirroring with the latest Microsoft® SQL Server 2012 High Availability technologies. To ensure availability and reliability, the databases that enable the Kivuto digital distribution and management platform are protected via high-powered, clustered servers connected to a powerful and reliable Storage Area Network (SAN). The platform is engineered for high capacity and automatic failover capability. It provides additional redundancy and protection via Availability Group Replicas on physically separate servers with dedicated high-performance storage. This eliminates a potential single point of failure within the network. The platform also makes extensive use of queuing and caching technologies to ensure the best possible performance for web stores and web services with near 100 percent uptime.

"Based on this foundation we will be implementing full second site disaster recovery for our systems in the Fall of 2013 to fully protect the infrastructure from significant outages," said Ed Ensing, Senior Director of Development at Kivuto Solutions. "And we continue to use replication technology for our data warehouse servers to provide near real-time reporting to our customers without impacting the performance of the thousands of web stores and web services we provide."
