Hincapie Sportswear Introduces Fall 2013 Apparel for Cyclists and Triathletes

New Designs and Fabrics Help Riders Thrive in Cool and Wet Weather


Greenville, SC, Sept. 10, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hincapie Sportswear has announced its Fall 2013 Collection with apparel for fall and winter's cooler temperatures and wet days, plus a new Italian-inspired line for style and performance.

The Collection is the result of Hincapie Sportswear partnering with world class athletes and teams, who test Hincapie's new apparel designs in top level races and in the most extreme and harshest conditions, providing invaluable feedback used to refine and improve the company's products.  

Arenberg Series -- Designed for the year-round cyclist, the new Men's Arenberg Zero Jacket and Vest is made from textured, four-way stretch MTX Wind Repel™ fabric, which provides a conforming fit and light insulation for mild to cool temperatures. The HyperOptic Roubaix™ reflective treatment gives riders superior visibility while the Super Roubaix™ back panel adds warmth and breathability. Other features protect against the elements including a weather protective center front zipper with internal storm placket, enhanced ergonomic design to improve riding comfort and element protection, and a weather-protective hem, cuffs, and collar to seal out the elements. The new women's Arenberg Zero Jacket has many of the same features.

Other new offerings in the Arenberg Series include:

  • The Men's Arenberg Zero Bib Tight, made from soft, supple, and highly abrasion resistant four-way stretch Super Roubaix™ fabric, which insulates and wicks moisture away from the body. Wind and water resistant TourTek™ Zero panels are strategically placed for ultimate protection from adverse conditions. The Arenberg Zero Bib Tights also feature full bib construction with locking front fly zipper for added comfort and anatomical Hincapie Power Chamois with E.I.T. Max fabric.
  • Women's Arenberg Capri and Tight provides coverage and thermal insulation for extreme cold. The tights also feature anatomical Hincapie Women's Power GT Chamois with E.I.T Max fabric and perforated, high-density foam inserts, plus a zippered back pocket.
  • Arm, knee, and leg warmers made from BodE Thermal Loft,™ a soft, supple elastic knit fabric that insulates and wicks moisture away from the body, and fleeced-lined HyperOptic Roubaix™ fabric, which provides superior visibility on the roads while maintaining a flexible, comfortable, conforming fit.
  • Shoe covers are also new this year, made from the textured, four-way stretch TourTek™ Zero fabric, providing a conforming fit and winter-weight insulation for riding in all seasons.

Ghisallo Series -- Hincapie's new men's Ghisallo Series pays tribute tothe Giro di Lombardia, the oldest and one of the most prestigious events on pro cycling's calendar. The "race of the falling leaves" can also be one of the wettest, which is why the classic Italian-themed series is made with the highest quality fabrics to keep cyclists insulated, warm and dry during long fall and winter rides.

·       The Ghisallo Jersey is made for inclement weather and provides greater versatility over a wider range of conditions than nearly any other product on the market.  The jersey utilizes AcquaZero™ for water repelling and breathability with plush, fleece lining for insulation. The design also utilizes elbow length sleeves for extra protection against cool rain, and can be paired with matching arm warmers that can be added or removed as conditions change.

·       Ghisallo Long Sleeve Jersey, made from QuadroHotfabric, which insulates from the cold and has an inner layer of fast-drying, hollow-core fibers to wick moisture away from the skin.

·       Ghisallo Bib Knicker, made from winter weight, fleeced-lined BodE Thermal Heat™ stretch knit fabric, providing excellent moisture wicking and unsurpassed insulation. It also features soft, supple BodE Thermal Loft™ elastic knit, which insulates and wicks moisture away from the body

In the women's line the Fontana Jacket a lightweight puff jacket that blends style with functionality. It also features the weather protective E5 Micro Ripstop™ fabric and eco2sy® filling as well as an insulated hood to create additional warmth on colder days.
