"This year, through our tournament, we were pleased to support an organization whose efforts to end racism and empower women is felt state wide," said Jerry Esposito, President, Tidewater Utilities, Inc. "We thank all those who supported the outing. Their commitment to this important endeavor is equally matched by their desire to build stronger communities," added Esposito.

YWCA Delaware was founded in 1895, and is a statewide organization dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. Annually, nearly 6,000 to 7,000 people participate in their comprehensive programs. YWCA Delaware is a leading advocate for women by providing housing, violence prevention, economic empowerment, racial justice and youth programming. Proceeds from this year's outing will help support YWCA Girl, a program that improves the lives of low-income, at-risk girls by helping them graduate from high school, and offering guidance to help them on a path to achieve their higher education and career goals.

"We are so fortunate to have the support of Tidewater Utilities, which embodies the true spirit of corporate responsibility and community giving," said Kimberly Kegerreis, Chief Development Officer at YWCA Delaware. "The event was a tremendous success, helping YWCA Delaware to raise much-needed funds to support our at-risk girls' education and youth programs in Sussex County, as well as to meet so many men and women who share Tidewater's enthusiasm for philanthropy."

Major Sponsors for the tournament included George & Lynch, Inc., IG Burton Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep, Carl M. Freeman, and Sensus Metering.
