Laserfiche Facilitates Activity-Based Working at Ricoh Australia

GOLD COAST, Australia, Oct. 23, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Many organisations across Australia have embraced the concept of activity-based working (ABW), which eliminates assigned office seating and replaces it with a variety of different workspaces employees can move between at will. To gain maximum benefit from ABW, Ricoh Australia is expanding its use of Laserfiche to automate business processes and provide employees with instant, secure and anywhere access to information.

During Gartner Symposium/ITxpo Gold Coast, Damon Eggleton, Managed Document Services Specialist at Ricoh Australia, will outline how Laserfiche facilitates ABW at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, October 30, in Central Room C.

"Ricoh Australia's goal in implementing ABW was to improve efficiency and collaboration. Laserfiche facilitates ABW by improving how we store and share information. It also improves staff productivity and reduces costs associated with paper-based workflows," said Eggleton.

Eggleton's presentation will focus on the finance department, which uses Laserfiche to automate contract management. Each month, the department processes 400 new contracts, and has an active contract list in excess of 16,000. According to Eggleton, "With Laserfiche, our finance department saves as much as 8 hours per contract on the approval process alone."

Laserfiche International (booth #B13), a platinum sponsor, will demonstrate the software Ricoh Australia uses throughout the event. Attendees who stop by the booth will also have a chance to win an iPad mini.
