Almas Jiwani to Deliver Keynote Address at the 5th International Conference On Women And Development -Punjabi University, INDIA

PATIALA, INDIA--(Marketwired - Nov. 6, 2013) - Almas Jiwani, President of UN Women National Committee Canada will be deliver the keynote address via video conference at the 5^th International Conference on Women and Development, in India. The conference will be held in Patiala from November 22^nd-23^rd.

The conference will aim to render the current situation for unequal participation that many developing countries face. Almas Jiwani, whose work has transcended on several of the issues of discussion through her commitment with UN Women National Committee Canada, will be speaking on the propositions for action in securing women's full participation in developing countries. Jiwani will embody the spirit to champion the right for women participation across the globe. Her commitment to the Millennium Development Goals will play a valuable part in the delegations that will ensue.

The 5th International Conference on Women and Development will be held at the Womens' Studies Center at Punjabi University, in Patiala, Punjab, India.
