Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust Names Angel Medina President


CORAL GABLES, Fla., Oct. 31, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust today announced that Angel Medina, Jr. has been named president, reporting to chairman and CEO, Adolfo Henriques. In his new role, Medina will lead the delivery of loan and deposit products to individuals and businesses with a private banking experience. His responsibilities will span across all markets served by Gibraltar Private, including South Florida, Ocean Reef, Naples and New York City.

Medina joined Gibraltar Private in 2011 as executive vice president to manage credit quality and has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining the Gibraltar Private in 2011, Medina was area president of Regions Bank. He also has served as the CFO of Adrian Homes and held various leadership roles with Barnett Bank (now part of Bank of America).

Medina is active in the community having served as chairman of the Beacon Council, president of Latin Builders Association, chairman of Florida International University's College of Business Dean's Council, Vice Chair of the Public Health Trust, and is a member of the Orange Bowl Committee.

He holds an MBA from Florida International University.
