Aurora, IL, Nov. 5, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cabot Microelectronics Corporation (Nasdaq:  CCMP), the world's leading supplier of chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) polishing slurries and a growing CMP pad supplier to the semiconductor industry, today announced that its Kaohsiung facility in Taiwan has once again won the National Safety and Health Excellence Award.  This is the fourth time in the last seven years that this facility has won this prestigious award.  In order to win the award, the Company presented its ergonomics programs and best practices, which were evaluated by a committee from the Tainan Science Park and Kaohsiung City Labor department.  After an extensive audit, the committee acknowledged Cabot Microelectronics' strong Safety, Health & Environment programs as well as top management's commitment to best-in-class performance.
