Fidelity Bank Named Top Place to Work for Third Year in Row

LEOMINSTER, MA--(Marketwired - Nov 18, 2013) - Fidelity Bank announced today that, for the third consecutive year, it has been named as one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts by the Boston Globe.

This is the sixth year that the Boston Globe has announced its Top Places to Work and the third time Fidelity Bank has been included in the rankings.

"To make the Boston Globe's Top Places to Work list three years running is both gratifying and humbling," said Edward F. Manzi Jr., Chairman and CEO of Fidelity Bank. "Our employees are what make Fidelity Bank such a great place to work. They are the heart and soul of our company, and they constantly strive to help our clients get where they want to be."

John F. Merrill, President and COO of Fidelity, joined Manzi in congratulating Fidelity Bank's workforce.

"We have a remarkable group of people working at the bank," Merrill said. "They're enthusiastic, they're dedicated, and they're driven to provide the best service possible to our customers. I'm proud to be part of this winning team."

The Globe shared its findings in a 48-page magazine included in the Sunday, November 17 print edition of the Globe, as well as on BostonGlobe.com and Boston.com. The results were based on surveys of thousands of employees at companies across the state.

This year, Bright Horizons Family Solutions, Institution for Savings, and ALKU won the highest marks.

"Our research partner, WorkplaceDynamics of Exton, Pa. -- which conducts similar surveys in other US cities -- told us employees in Boston were more enthusiastic about their companies than employees in any other region. In a way, that means this is the top Top Places to Work," The Boston Globe Business Editor Mark Pothier said.

The Boston Globe's 2013 Top Places to Work survey was conducted by WorkPlace Dynamics of Exton, Pa., specialists in employee engagement and retention. The Globe invited 1,746 employers to participate in the survey; 333 organizations employing a total of 127,000 people completed the process. Completed surveys were received from 76,482 individuals, who rated their employers based on workplace practices in direction, execution, connection, managers, work, and pay and benefits.
