Informatica Cloud Unlocks Back Office ERP Data For Cloud Consumption

Informatica Cloud's ERP Connectors Drive Adoption of Salesforce Platform

Redwood City, Calif., Nov. 18, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq:INFA), the world's number one independent provider of data integration software, today announced an expanded list of Informatica Cloud Connectors for the top ERP applications, enabling greater adoption of the Salesforce platform. Only Informatica Cloud's connectors empower line-of-business professionals such as Salesforce Administrators and Business Analysts to access back office ERP data without the need for complex coding or specialized ERP and web services expertise.

Informatica Cloud now delivers easy-to-use cloud connectors for secure and native access to data in Oracle E-Business Suite, as well as ERP application connectors for SAP ECC, NetSuite, and Microsoft Dynamics AX, GP and NAV. Available on Informatica Marketplace, the expanding suite of ERP cloud connectors are part of Informatica's comprehensive portfolio of connectors to cloud, on-premise and social applications and services.

"Integrating with ERP solutions previously has been a complex proposition, requiring domain expertise around the particular ERP application and the respective modules," said Juan Carlos Soto, senior vice president and general manager, Informatica Cloud. "Informatica Cloud removes much of that complexity and need for specialized ERP and web services expertise. Consequently, business users deploying new cloud applications can easily synchronize cloud data with back office ERP systems to integrate and thereby unlock the full potential of new cloud applications faster and cheaper than before."

Customers of salesforce.com use Informatica Cloud connectors to optimize:

·         Business competitiveness - As salesforce.com customers expand beyond Sales Cloud into other applications within the Salesforce platform, Informatica Cloud connectors provide the easiest and fastest way to populate these new applications with data from ERP systems to better serve their clientele.

·         Salesforce developer productivity - As organizations customize their salesforce.com implementations or build new native apps on the Force.com platform, they frequently need to migrate and synchronize data from ERP systems so that mission critical integration scenarios can be tested. Informatica Cloud's easy connectivity to ERP applications, in combination with the new Informatica Cloud Test Data Management functionality for salesforce.com sandboxes (see Informatica Cloud Winter 2014 news release), shortens the software development lifecycle and increases developer productivity.

·         Hybrid IT environments - Most enterprises possess software assets both in the cloud and on-premise, with the greatest share of on-premise assets being locked in ERP systems. Informatica Cloud simplifies and streamlines integration across cloud and on-premise applications to empower such companies and their hybrid IT environments to function more effectively.
