3D Systems Provides Cube 3D Printers to FIRST(R) Robotics Teams

ROCK HILL, S.C., Nov. 25, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 3D Systems (NYSE:DDD) today announced that it received an order for several hundred Cube® 3D printers for inclusion in Dean Kamen's FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC®) Kit of Parts, sponsored by America Makes, Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the United States Department of Education. For the first time in the competition's history, FRC offers 3D printers to competing teams as part of their toolbox. 3DS was selected to supply its award winning Cube printers for its print quality, ease of use and certified-safe operability.

As part of its commitment to democratize access to affordable 3D printing, the company plans to donate its entire Cubify® software design suite including Cubify Invent™, Cubify Design™ and Cubify Sculpt™ to every team participating in FRC together with hundreds of cloud printing coupons valued at $100 each.
