The Old Spaghetti Factory Rings in the New Year With Its 45th Anniversary

Family Favorite Restaurant Offers Complete Meals for $4 or $5 for a Limited Time and a Facebook Contest for Guests to Share 45 Years of Memories

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Dec 17, 2013) - This year the Old Spaghetti Factory is celebrating its 45th anniversary of serving traditional flavors and making countless family memories. Guests are invited to participate in anniversary celebrations throughout 2014, starting with special rollback pricing during two weeks in January and a Facebook contest.

While The Old Spaghetti Factory first opened its doors in Portland, Ore., in 1969, the Dussin family has been in the restaurant business for much longer. This is their 100th anniversary of providing restaurant services based on long-held family values and recipes.

"In a competitive industry where most restaurants cannot keep their doors open for more than a year, we are humbled to celebrate our 45th and 100th anniversaries this year," says Chris Dussin, president of The Old Spaghetti Factory. "We're taking the time to look back, reflect and thank our family, hard-working staff and devoted guests."

Roll-back pricing
To celebrate the anniversary in style, The Old Spaghetti Factory is rolling back prices on select pasta dishes in January. Lunch and dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory locations nationwide will cost only $4 or $5 on the following dates:

  • Mon., Jan. 13, 2014
  • Tues., Jan. 14, 2014
  • Mon., Jan. 20, 2014
  • Tues., Jan. 21, 2014

The special anniversary menu features The Old Spaghetti Factory's complete meals, including fresh-baked bread, a salad or soup, entrée and dessert. Classic pasta entrées will be on the menu, such as Spaghetti with Marinara, Meat, Mushroom or Clam Sauce, and the signature Spaghetti with Mizithra Cheese or the Manager's Favorite, which is a two-sauce combination. The Old Spaghetti Factory's award-winning kids' meals will be available for only $3 during the anniversary roll-back.

Relive the Memories on Facebook
While the Dussin family has great dining memories of their own, they know that their customers also have wonderful memories of dining at The Old Spaghetti Factory. That's the concept behind the restaurant's new Facebook contest. Guests are invited to share their favorite memories of visiting The Old Spaghetti Factory with family and friends.

Entries can be submitted through an entry form found on The Old Spaghetti Factory's Facebook page. Each week from Dec. 26, 2013 through Mar. 31, 2014, The Old Spaghetti Factory will give away more than 45 gift certificates valued at $45 each, as well as a 45-person banquet to each of three lucky winners.
