Pulse Systems Inc. Releases Its 2014 ONC HIT Certified Complete EHR Software

Pulse Complete EHR Version 4.2 Features ONC Meaningful Use Stage 2 Requirements and Client Enhancement Requests

WICHITA, Kan., Dec. 20, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pulse Systems, Inc., an industry-leading provider of Electronic Health Record (EHR), Practice Management and Revenue Cycle Management solutions, today announced that it has released its 2014 ONC HIT Certified Meaningful Use Stage 2 Complete EHR, version 4.2 software, which contains features required by ONC for certification, as well as enhancements requested by Pulse clients.

In August of this year, Pulse announced its Complete EHR version 4.2 was compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition criteria and was certified as a Complete EHR by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ACB, in accordance with the eligible provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The ONC 2014 Edition criteria support both Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

The ONC HIT Certification Program certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2014 Edition criteria and EHR modules meet one or more – but not all – of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology. The Pulse Complete EHR, version 4.2, was certified on August 7, 2013. The certification number for the Pulse Complete EHR, version 4.2 is CC-2014-946110-1. ONC HIT certification conferred by CCHIT does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Pulse's 2014 ONC HIT Certified Complete EHR, version 4.2, covers Meaningful Use Stage 2 criteria and contains helpful software updates including but not limited to:

  • Advance demographic input features
  • Updates to immunizations and vaccine interoperability functions
  • Syndromic surveillance messages generated from health maintenance
