Raleigh, North Carolina Hotels Support Frankie Lemmon Center Fundraiser

RALEIGH, NC--(Marketwired - Feb 7, 2014) - What began as one couple's mission to help children with special needs, including their own, has grown into the Frankie Lemmon School & Developmental Center, a nonprofit pre-school and kindergarten for children with special needs. The only special education kindergarten in the area, the school relies on donations and sponsors to be able to offer its resources free of charge, and three hotels in Raleigh, NC are doing their part help.

Each February, the Triangle Wine Experience brings wine enthusiasts together to raise money for the Frankie Lemmon Foundation, the school's primary funding source, with a weekend of wine-related events. This year, the Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn & Suites and Courtyard Raleigh Crabtree Valley have all pitched in by donating rooms at their hotels near NCSU for visiting winemakers, distributors and entertainment.

This year's event, February 6th through the 8th, features numerous events to benefit the foundation. On the first night of the Triangle Wine Experience, Winery Dinners pair the area's best restaurants, such as the award winning Midtown Grille, and chefs with the world's finest wines. The following morning, visitors have the chance to tour the school and meet some of the children during a special breakfast program. That evening, guests can Sip, Shop & Sign as wine merchants offer their bottles for tasting and purchase. To close out the 3-day event, a Grand Gala & Auction will feature entertainment and both silent and live auctions.
