Over the last nineteen years, the Unity Walk has grown from 200 participants in the first event to over to 10,000 participants in the 2013 Walk. Donations from the Unity Walk have gone to support research for major U.S. Parkinson's foundations including American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA), National Parkinson Foundation, Inc. (NPF), Parkinson's Action Network (PAN), Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF), The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (MJFF), The Parkinson Alliance (PA) and The Parkinson's Institute and Clinical Center (PI).
