Kari Bellville and Julia Potter Receive Sponsor Exemptions for the 2014 Four Winds Invitational

Tournament Held From Friday, June 20 Through Sunday, June 22 at Blackthorn Golf Club


SOUTH BEND, IN--(Marketwired - Jun 2, 2014) -  The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and its Four Winds® casinos, are proud to announce that Kari Bellville and Julia Potter have received sponsor exemptions to play in the 2014 Four Winds Invitational. A sponsor exemption allows tournament organizers the opportunity to select players to compete against some of the top professional women golfers in the world. The 2014 Four Winds Invitational will be held from Friday, June 20 through Sunday, June 22, at Blackthorn Golf Club, located at 6100 Nimtz Parkway, South Bend, Ind. The tournament will feature a field of professional women golfers from around the world competing on the Symetra® Tour -- Road to the LPGA®.

Kari Bellville will be graduating from Penn High School in Mishawaka, Ind. in June 2014 and will be attending the University of Notre Dame in the fall. Kari was also granted a sponsor's exemption for the previous two Four Winds Invitationals, nearly missing the cut both times. She has been named a Future Collegians World Tour (FCWT) All-American and was FCWT player of the year in 2010. Kari also participated in the 2010 Women's Western Amateur Championship Flight Match Play and in 2011 she was the North and South Junior Champion.

Julia Potter is from Granger, Ind. and is the 2013 United States Golf Association's (USGA) Women's Mid-Am Medalist and Champion. While at the University of Missouri, Julia won five tournaments, was on the all Big 12 team three times, and holds all but two scoring records at the school. She was also a three-time Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) team champion at Penn High School, a four-time IHSAA All-State member, a two-time Indiana State Am Champion, and a two-time Indiana Women's Golf Association (IGWA) Player of the Year.
