Dresner Advisory Services Names Jim Ericson as Research Director

NASHUA, NH--(Marketwired - Jun 4, 2014) - Dresner Advisory Services today announced that Jim Ericson, a consultant and journalist focused on end-user management practices and industry trending in the information management field, has joined the firm as Research Director.

Ericson assisted in the creation of recent Dresner Advisory Services reports on Small & Mid-Sized Enterprise Business Intelligence (BI), Cloud BI, and Location Intelligence, and collaborated with founder Howard Dresner on the flagship 2014 Wisdom of Crowds® Business Intelligence Market Study.

From 2004 to 2013, he was Editorial Director at Information Management magazine (formerly DM Review), where he oversaw user and industry coverage from hundreds of contributors across the data and information management industry. As lead writer, he interviewed and profiled more than 100 C-level executives and program directors in a two-year program titled #25 Top Information Managers. His related feature articles earned American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) national bronze and multiple Mid-Atlantic gold and silver awards for technical article and case history feature writing.

Ericson's earlier news background includes roles as morning drive senior network news producer at NBC/Mutual Radio and as managing editor at MSNBC's first Washington, D.C. online news bureau.
