The 2,000th surgery was performed by Dr. Mark Bruyn, a leading podiatrist in the area. Dr. Bruyn graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine cum laude, and completed his surgical residency at Harris County Podiatric Surgical Program in Houston. Dr. Bruyn's sub-specialty is reconstructive pediatric and adult flatfoot surgery on which he has lectured and published numerous articles.
