Teq Names Chris Hickey President


HUNTINGTON, NY--(Marketwired - Jun 10, 2014) - Teq, the educational technology and professional development company, today announced that Chris Hickey has been promoted to president, from his position as chief sales officer. 

In his new role, Hickey will drive the overall business strategy for Teq, focusing on developing its new software and services division into a national presence. Hickey will continue heading sales operations, as well as the professional development division.

Hickey has led the Teq sales team for more than a year. Before joining Teq, he spent more than 15 years at CA Technologies in senior executive and sales roles. Hickey headed up CA Technologies Channel Sales Division as Senior Vice President, and also founded the Home & Home Office Division and the Small Business Division. Throughout his career at CA, he managed SMB and Enterprise accounts, Storage and Security products, and served in key roles, including as Senior Vice President of Channel Sales and Marketing, Vice President of Sales Accounting, Vice President of Channel Operations, and Vice President of Licensing. Hickey also spearheaded the divestiture of CA's anti-virus security line to Total Defense. He later went on to serve as president of Total Defense, the fastest-growing cloud security company in the country.
