Hudson Taylor Headlines London Five-Star Hotel's 'Global Day of Discovery'

'Live Life to Discover' With Music and Food at St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - Jun 24, 2014) - Always encouraging guests to "Live Life to Discover," a London five-star hotel is joining in a worldwide celebration aimed at helping travellers to discover a better business trip by hosting an impressive line-up of music and drink on Thursday, June 26, the eve of Glastonbury.

As one of 155 Renaissance-branded hotels participating in the third annual "Global Day of Discovery," guests and visitors of the St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel will have the opportunity to enjoy an early kick-start to the British music festival season with an evening of cocktails and a performance by the wildly popular Hudson Taylor. The five-star London hotel will open Hansom Hall, one of its elite private event spaces for the festivities which are set to begin at 18.00 and continue until late. In addition to musical performances, guests will be invited to sample a range of alternative drinks so they might find a new favoured cocktail for the summer music festival season.

Noted as this year's hottest new music talent, Hudson Taylor will take to the stage at 19.30, preceded by singer/songwriter, Kimberly Anne at 18.40. DJ Philly will follow Hudson Taylor, keeping the event lively late into the night. Poised to be one of the year's most popular acts, Harry and Alfie Hudson-Taylor are two brothers from the outskirts of Dublin who have been honing their stirring folk-pop sound over a series of well-received EPs and singles. Last year the duo toured with Jake Bugg and Kodaline and had appeared as a supporting act for the Rolling Stones at Hyde Park. The single, "Weapons" was featured on Radio1's "In New Music We Trust" playlist, and they just released their new EP, entitled "Battles" on June 16.

As home to some of the finest restaurants and cocktail bars in London, the St. Pancras will host an outdoor bar for this one-time occasion, serving drinks on the terrace adjoining Hansom Hall. Upon arrival, guests will be quizzed to reveal which of the alternative summer drinks best fits their personality and will be invited to enjoy a bottle of their perfect beverage before sampling alternatives such as Harry Brompton's alcoholic iced tea, the St. Pancras beer and a Victorian punch.

Those wishing to attend the evening of celebration are asked to commit their rsvp via email to madeleine.duxbury@renaissancehotels.com
