Enlighten Transforms Tech Education Site with Community and Content

Ann Arbor, Michigan, UNITED STATES

Ann Arbor, MI, July 16, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Enlighten announced today the launch of a vibrant new website redesign for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). As the "premier nonprofit organization serving educators and education leaders committed to empowering connected learners in a connected world," ISTE aids more than 100,000 education stakeholders worldwide. The organization tasked Enlighten with turning its existing site into a collaborative, content-rich resource that would solidify its position as an innovative leader and promote the value of ISTE membership.

The resulting site, located at ISTE.org, highlights technology and learning advocacy opportunities, professional technology and education excellence, and creates a bridge between educators and corporate innovators. "We tackled a series of initiatives while also setting up a scalable and flexible framework for ISTE's future goals," says Denise M. Evers, Director, Project Management with Enlighten. Included among the new site features are a content hub to replace ISTE's teacher-targeted magazine and a community platform that allows members to connect online. A mobile execution of the site's Home, Explore, and Connect pages affords users the ability to engage with ISTE regardless of device, while a streamlined store checkout and membership process aids in increasing book and webinar sales and growing the ISTE community.

The new ISTE site was recently showcased at the organization's annual ISTE 2014 conference in Atlanta, where some 20,000 attendees, volunteers and exhibitors gathered to learn "new ways to engage and connect with learners" and see keynote speeches by such presenters as actor and human rights activist Ashley Judd. Enlighten began working with ISTE earlier this year, and this is the agency's first project for the organization. "Helping a company that transforms teaching and learning to transform its primary online destination is a privilege," says Tom Beck, President of Enlighten. "I think ISTE's members will be happy with this robust and interactive new digital representation of the ISTE brand."
